Organizatia Non-Guvernamentala Act In Ostrava organizeaza trainingul Follow the Yellow Brick Road, care se va desfasura intre 4-11 august 2014 in Olomouc, centrul ecologic Slunakov, Republica Ceha. Trainingul va trata ca tema principala schimbarea si educatia nonformala in relatie cu problema somajului in randul tinerilor. Deadline aplicatii: 6 iunie 2014.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road took its name from the yellow brick road of "The Wizard of Oz". The name was chosen because it's perfectly linked to the topics of CHANGE, JOURNEY + NON-FORMAL LEARNING, which we relate to the problem of youth UNEMPLOYMENT.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road is a new innovative 4.3 Youth in Action training course for youth workers, trainers and youth leaders.
It will bring together 28 participants from 10 different countries (Italy, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Romania) to work together on the main topics: CHANGE and NON-FORMAL LEARNING in relation to the problem of YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT.
The project will take place in Czech Republic, in a beautiful ecological center close to Olomouc -http://www.slunakov.cz/eng/.
AIM of the TRAINING COURSE:
The course wants to bring the participants on a journey of the "yellow brick road" (the story of "The Wizard of Oz" creates a red line in our program). We aim to provide participants with tools and inputs to help them to be more aware of themselves, their skills and their competences - and also how to empower young people they are working with to do the same.
OBJECTIVES of the TRAINING COURSE:
- To create a space for personal development, by exploring personal talents, aspirations and potential through a variety of non formal education and experiential tools;
- To explore and reflect on ‘change’ and ‘responsibility’, as ways to define and reach personal and professional objectives and live a more fulfilling life;
- To experience tools and methodologies that can be utilised to enable, empower and inspire young people;
- To discover how non-formal education can enhance employability of young people and guide them in finding their own career path.
