International Art Competition Artward
ARTWARD este o competitie internationala de arta, organizata de catre Agentia de Arta ICAA e.K din Germania. Premiile sunt acordate tinerilor artisti vizuali, constand in sume de bani si programe de artist-in-residence, oferindu-le oportunitatea de a-si implementa proiectele. Un juriu international, format din experti in domeniul artistic, vor evalua proiectele/ lucrarile in functie de o serie de criterii: calitate artistica, inovare etc. Proiectele pot fi trimise intre 1 martie - 30 septembrie 2014.
The ARTWARD is awarded in different categories:
The ARTWARD is for pioneering artistic positions with high artistic quality.
Prize money: € 4.000
The ARTWARD junior prize goes to talented young artists, which are still in the academy or just entered the art market.
Prize money: € 1.000
The ARTWARD artist-in-residence aims to promote international exchange and to provide an atmospheric place for artistic expression.
This year we have the luck to offer a 6 week artist-in-residence in the studio loft by Belgian collector Alain Servais, Brussels.
The ARTWARD public is awarded by a public voting process.

ARTWARD artist-in-residence 2014
2014, we have the good fortune to offer a 6-week artist-in-residence at the studio loft of Belgian collector and art conveyor Alain Servais in Brussels.
Alain Servais started collecting art in the late 1990s. His collection focuses on internationally established contemporary artists such as Beat Streuli, Barbara Kruger, Gerhard Richter, Marcel Didier, Gilbert & George and Richard Stella, as well as young emerging artists with an independent style from around the world. In addition, the collector has discovered the world of new technologies. Video art, new media art and digital art form another focus of the collection.
To live with his growing collection and also to share the artpieces, he bought a 900-square-old factory in an inspiring working-class neighborhood in the north of Brussels, which he rebuilt into a three-story loft. Since 2012 the collection by appointment is available to the interested public. We are very happy to announce, that he opens his doors for artist-in-residency programs. The first of its kind at the establishment, which will offer free work space for six months to up and coming international artists as well as to awardees of the ARTWARD. The factory has Wi-Fi, bedrooms with a loft and studio connectivity with open kitchen, bright living and dining area.
How to apply
Applications can be made between 1st March and 30th September 2014.
In order to apply, applicants must use the official application form on the website. Applications not complying to this rule will not be considered. After registration of the competition entry we confirm this by email.
To cover the administrative, personnel, programming and logistics costs associated with entering the contest, a participation fee of € 20,50 – must be paid. While you pay the fee, you can benefit from the ARTWARD platform and our active public relations. The fee is payable by submitting the application and is not refundable.
